Prof. João Barroso
University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, PortugalJoão Barroso is Associate Professor with Habilitation at University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) and Pro-Rector of Innovation and Technology Transfer. He was Pro-Rector of Innovation and Information Management of UTAD between July 2010 and July 2013 and coordinated the activities of both, the Office of Technology, Innovation and Knowledge, and the Support Office of Industrial Property at UTAD, connecting UTAD with University Technology Enterprise Network Portugal (Portugal UTEN) under the protocol established by the Portuguese Government to the University of Texas at Austin. He was part of the creative team from the area of the Department of Computer Engineering, has been Coordinator of the Bachelor of Computer Science, Director of the Master in Computer Science and is Director of Doctoral Program in Informatics. He is a Senior Researcher at INESC Technology and Science – INESC TEC. His main research interests are in the areas of Digital Image Processing and Accessibility. He produced more than 200 academic papers, including book chapters, articles and communications in conference proceedings and guided over thirty postgraduate work, as well as Master and PhD. He participated in the organization of scientific meetings of various international and national nature, which emphasizes the creation of the conference "Software Development for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion" in 2006 (http://www.dsai.ws). Oslo Metropolitan University, NorwayDr. Frode Eika Sandnes is a full professor in the Departments of Computer Science at Oslo University College and Institute of Technology at Kristiania University College, in Oslo, Norway. He holds a BSc from The University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and a PhD from The University of Reading, UK. Sandnes has served one term as the Prorector for Research, Development and Internationalization at what is now Oslo Metropolitan University. He has chaired several quality assurance evaluation panels at both institutional level and study programme levels in Norway, Denmark and Lithuania. Dr. Sandnes was identified as the 13th most active researcher in Norway during 2015-2018 by the work union Forskerforbundet. His current research focuses on human computer interaction in general and accessibility specifically. His research vision is to make information technology and education available to ALL and has authored the leading textbook on universal design of ICT-systems and user interfaces for everyone (now in 2nd edition). Sandnes serves as the Norwegian representative to International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP) TC13. He has chaired/co-chaired many conferences including the recent ACM NordiCHI 2018. Sandnes is a journal editorial board member of Universal Access in the Information Society.

Prof. Wang is currently serving as the Chairman for the Research Discipline of Applied Science Education in the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from National Chengchi University, Taiwan. His current research interests focus mainly on information and educational technology adoption strategies, information and educational technology systems success models, online user behavior, knowledge management, Internet entrepreneurship education, mobile learning, and e-learning. He is also serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Systems Thinking and Management, the Associate Editor of Corporate Management Review, the Guest Editor of Interactive Learning Environments, and the Founding Chairman for the Business Education and Management Society of Taiwan. Prof. Wang’s work has been published in several top-tier journals in the field of management information systems/educational technology, such as Academy of Management Learning and Education, International Journal of Information Management, Information Systems Journal, Computers & Education, Information & Management, and British Journal of Educational Technology. According to the Journal Citation Report, Academy of Management Learning and Education has ever been ranked 1st out of 206 journals in the category of “Education & Educational Research” and 3rd out of 168 journals in the category of “Management”; International Journal of Information Management is currently ranked 1st among 89 journals in the field of “Information Science and Library Science”. Besides, according to both Google Scholar Citations and Microsoft Academic Search, Prof. Wang’s publications have been cited for more than 12,000 times, leading to a high level of academic impact. Among his published papers, 3 papers have been cited for more than 1,000 times, respectively, and 10 papers have been cited for more than 500 times, respectively. University of Coimbra, PortugalBorn in Lisbon in 1956, he is a Full Professor of Physics at the University of Coimbra, with a specialization in Physics of Condensed Matter and interest in the History of Science and in Educational Technologies, he is the author of 60 books, 160 scientific articles (one of them with more than 18,000 citations) and more than 500 education and outreach articles. He created in the 1980 Coimbra a chair on "Computers for Teaching Physics". The following titles are among his books: "King's John Library" (University of Coimbra Press, with Paulo Mendes), "History of Science in Portugal" (Aranha-Céus) and "Jesuits, Builders of Globalization" (CTT, with José Eduardo Franco). He was Director of the Center for Computational Physics at the University of Coimbra, where he installed the largest Portuguese computer for scientific calculation, and of the General Library of the University of Coimbra, where he carried out several informatization projects related to books and culture. He was responsible for the Knowledge area of the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation, in Lisbon, and National Coordinator of 2015 - International Year of Light in Portugal. He is running presently the Rómulo - Centro Ciência Viva of the University of Coimbra. He has had a voice, in the public space, defending science and scientific culture. He received several national and international awards and distinctions.
